Trina came from the Moisburger Berg Kennel in Northern Germany.  I was recommended to her breeder, Rüdiger Förste, who had spent twenty years breeding Pepper and Salt Giants with extreme care to produce healthy and vigorous dogs with superb temperaments.

I went to Amsterdam to watch her win her class at the World Show in 2002.

This sweet, gentle, girl came to live with me, as a German Champion, in September 2003. She became my constant companion at all times.

In Germany, becoming a Champion, is not simply a question of winning points in the show ring for beauty, the dogs have to succeed at agility and working trials and health examinations. They can only be bred from if they have acceptable hip scores and are otherwise healthy.
